Jo Silver has recently been appointed CEO of Stand Up, a Growing Movement for Social Justice, furthering the Jewish Commitment to a Better World…she talks with Henry Greener. A video report.

Jo’s predecessor, Gary Samowitz is still on board, helping her to adjust to the huge task of heading an Organisation that has grown to be assisted by over 200 volunteers, involves over 6,400 Jewish Students, has a Sudanese Women’s Group, run camps for Indigenous people, has a Program for Sudanese High School students, conducts Bnei-mitzvah Programs and runs a Coffee-Making Workshop at Coffee Company, among its other Initiatives to Make A Difference.

As well, the Annual Ron Castan Humanitarian Award is an important Event to search for special people who have attained excellence and renown in their chosen humanitarian field.
