MDA vaccinates Palestinian workers
As part of the national effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Israel, the government has decided to provide vaccinations to Palestinian workers with permits to work in Israel.
As part of the effort, MDA, in cooperation with COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories) provided vaccinations at the Ephraim Crossing during which around 700 Palestinian workers were vaccinated.
The vaccinations will continue into next week with vaccines being provided in various locations in Judea and Samaria for those employed at Israeli industrial centres in order to complete the operation as soon as possible.
To date, MDA’s professional teams have provided nearly 1 million vaccines in Israel and have received special training to carry out this operation.
MDA Director General, Eli Bin said: “MDA teams were immediately trained to carry out this special operation upon receiving orders from the Ministry of Health with the goal of completing this within a few days while adhering to all rules and regulations required. This cooperation is of great importance and I have no doubt that this multi-organizational cooperation will be successful in vaccinating all workers. We hope that this will assist in efforts to bring about the end of the pandemic and bring a full opening of the economy.”
