The Israel Programs office at the Zionist Federation of Australia hosts an annual Masa Israel Journey fair to showcase the various Israel programs on offer for young adults ranging from school leavers looking for gap year experiences to young professionals (up to the age of 30) wanting to intern, volunteer, teach or study in Israel. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the event is now going virtual.

MASA participants

While finding the perfect program in Israel can sometimes be challenging or overwhelming, Masa has taken the stress out of this by gathering together all program organisers, in different languages, and have gone above and beyond in order to offer this unique opportunity for prospective participants and their families to hear from program providers in the comfort of their own homes, in one organised, interactive event.

The Masa virtual fair will be taking place on Sunday 21 June , from 3pm AEST and can be joined at whatever time is convenient over the following 24-hours. Speak with over 70 Masa program representatives and explore all of the opportunities on offer, whether it is a career internship at a start-up, NGO or company in your field, a desire to study in one of Israel’s top universities or institutions, do meaningful volunteering in grassroots organisations, perfect your Hebrew on Kibbutz Ulpan or immerse in a school leaver gap year experience. Registrants will be able to speak directly with contacts from Masa’s many impressive and diverse programs and ask all of their questions in real-time, without the hassle of emailing back and forth or scheduling a phone call.

Sarit Braver, ZFA Israel Programs Director said: “It has been an incredibly challenging start to the year, with so much uncertainty surrounding our programs and trips to Israel, but with so much interest in travel to Israel and looking to the future, we are excited to be able to present our programs in the form of this virtual fair, and showcase what is on offer in Israel in 2021. Israel’s borders are open to Masa participants, and this fair will give participants the opportunity to be prepared once our own travel bans are lifted or restrictions are eased for Australians wishing to depart.”
