Maroubra, Eastgardens, Eastlakes graffiti attacks linked
NSW Police believe the antisemitic graffiti attacks in Maroubra and Eastlakes are linked and released CCTV images of two men they want to interview.

The incidents on January 30 occurred at a Jewish school and a home in Maroubra and the Eastgardens shopping centre. Later on the same day police attended a home in Eastlakes where further graffiti attacks were discovered.
NSW Police has stated: “Police believe the incidents are linked and detectives attached to Strike Force Pearl took carriage of both investigations.
As investigations continue, strike force detectives have released CCTV vision of a car as they hope to speak to the driver and passenger who they believe can assist with inquiries.
Police believe the car – a white Kia Stonic SUV– was first seen travelling on the M5 Motorway on-ramp near Kingsgrove Road, about 5.20am on Thursday 30 January 2025.
The Kia was then seen in the vicinity of the school and home in Maroubra, about 5.40am the same day, before also being seen outside the Eastgardens shopping centre, about 5.57am.
Following further inquiries, police believe the Kia travelled to Sparks Street, Eastlakes, at about 6.20am, after which it was seen travelling on King Street, Mascot, at about 6.29am, before turning left onto O’Riordan Street.
The passenger is described as being a man of Caucasian appearance, and of thin build. He was last seen wearing a blue jumper with an orange liner, a white medical mask, dark pants and brown shoes.
The driver is described as being a man of a large build. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap.
Strike force detectives are urging anyone with information about either of these men, or information, dashcam footage or CCTV of these incidents to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
