Anti-Semitism was at the heart of the Nazi ideology from the beginning.

Initially, Hitler’s policy was to encourage Jews to emigrate, but the Reichstag fire in 1933 gave him an excuse to crack down on all opposition. Disaffected Jews living inside and outside the country plotted to assassinate Hitler and other leading Nazis as counter-intelligence and security agencies expanded in Germany.
