MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM a movie featuring Nelson Mandela’s extraordinary journey from his childhood in a rural village through to his election as President of South Africa will premiere in Australia hosted by Sydney’s Kehillat Masada.

mandela-movie-flyer610The movie explores the Mandela unknown to most of the world – the lover of fancy cars, a ladies’ man, the boxing enthusiast and playboy, the skillful lawyer and freedom fighter.  The film is an intimate portrait of the making of a modern icon and is a must-see this year!

After receiving at least 10 award nominations, including nominations both at the Golden Globes and the BAFTAS, and winning the Golden Globe for Best Original Song, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is set to open in cinemas nationwide next month.

Kehillat Masada has secured an exclusive premiere screening of this highly acclaimed movie with tickets on sale immediately. It promises to be a wonderful evening full of meaning and emotion. The event is open to the whole Sydney community.

The film screening will take place at Macquarie Event Cinema on Sunday 2nd February 2014 at 6:30pm
