Following the tragic bombing in Manchester which claimed 22 lives last week, the British Consul-General addressed Sydney’s The Great Synagogue on Shabbat.

The synagogue’s spiritual leader Manchester-born and raised Rabbi Dr Benjamin Elton told J-Wire: “The Consul-General Michael Ward thanked The Great Synagogue for the invitation to attend this Shabbat. He said it was a honour to be with the community and how much support and sympathy he had received from many Australians. In address he pointed out  that Manchester was in mourning but strong and that the British people will continue to defy terrorists.”
