Academy BJE and WIZO recently conducted a joint program in primary schools across Sydney to bring Australian and Israeli schoolchildren together.

The BJE children in Sydney were given two sets of beads – blue and white, and green and gold, and were asked to make both bracelets, keeping the blue and white ones for themselves, and sending the green and gold ones, via WIZO, to children in Israel.

They also included a letter they had written hoping they may start a pen pal correspondence across the seas. Volunteers from WIZO came to the schools to assist with the bracelet production, and the children were very excited to send something they had made to children in Israel.
