Maccabiah Marriage!
Open footballers Adam Joseph and Rebecca Sheridan have ended the 18th Maccabiah on an absolute high….by announcing their engagement.

24-yr-old Rebecca from North Bondi, Sydney and Adam, 28, from St Ives met at the 17th Maccabiah in 2005.
They told J-Wire: “We have been the best of friends ever since and have been an item for the last two and a half years.”
Adam, an account executive with the ASX and Rebecca a physiotherapist with her own practice in Sydney’s Rose Bay both enjoy soccer passionately. “I have no choice but to support Chelsea, because that’s who Adam barracks for”, said Rebecca.
Adam told J-Wire: “I waited until the Games were over – in fact, the first busloads are already on their way back to Australia. We were walking on the Tel Aviv beach and I pulled the ring out of my pocket.”
Rebecca takes the story up from here: “He went down on one knee and propsed to me. I had no hesitation in saying yes.”
The couple have yet to set a date for the wedding.
