Veteran Maccabi Australia stalwart Harry Procel has been appointed as Head of Delegation for the Australian team to the 19th Maccabiah in Israel in 2013.
It will be Procel’s third stint as Head of Delegation and he has resigned as President of Maccabi Australia, a post he has held for over five years, to focus on the international event.
Lisa Borowick has been elected the new president of Maccabi Australia. She has been on the Board of the organisation for six years holding positions as FInance Director and Chair of International Sport.
Borowick is the first woman to have been elected president.
