Sydney’s Montefiore’s luxury seniors living apartment development at Randwick, M by Montefiore, has won the 2022 Master Builders Association (MBA) NSW Excellence in Construction Award in the Lifestyle Living Over 55s category.

Robert Orie receives the award

The awards publicly recognise high quality workmanship, innovation and quality and are the benchmark for excellence in building in Australia.

In addition to the 79 spacious and well-appointed apartments, the development includes outstanding amenities such as a club lounge and lobby bar, dining precinct, cinema, lap pool, out-door BBQ areas and dedicated function spaces.

Montefiore President and chair of the Montefiore Development Committee responsible for delivering the project, David Freeman, congratulated all involved with the M by Montefiore project including builders, Richard Crookes Constructions, architects, Jackson Teece and project managers, Equity Development Management.

David Freeman said:  “I’d also like to acknowledge the efforts of the members of the development committee, Gary Inberg, Tom Mautner, Michael Graf and Montefiore CEO, Robert Orie, which are reflected in this well-deserved award,

Our vision was to deliver a thriving community for seniors underpinned by an exceptional level of accommodation, amenities and services. Our residents are telling us that we have delivered on all counts.”

With all apartments taken and a growing wait-list, Mr Freeman said that plans were underway for the final stage of development on the Randwick site which will be located on the corner of King and Dangar Streets. This development will include, amongst other things, additional seniors living apartments as well as a community plaza and retail precinct fronting King Street.
