Luxury hotel to host Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur services

With COVID restrictions in place, there is a maximum capacity of 100 people to attend synagogue at any given time Sydney’s Chabad Double Bay has enlisted the local Intercontinental hotel to provide a venue for services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

The Grand Ballroom in the Intercontinental Double Bay will be an additional venue for High Holyday services.

Chabad Double’s Rabbi Yanky Berger said: “We are pleased to be able to offer seating this Yom Tov to the community”.
Chabad Double Bay will also host services at its shule.
The Intercontinental Doube Bay is also offering a discounted rate for worshippers who would like to stay at the hotel.
Rabbi Berger added: “Imagine a Yom Kippur where you don’t need to leave the building for the entire fast day.”
He told J-Wire that services at Chabad Double Bay are warm, meaningful and inspiring with commentary and stories during the service.
