The executive was announced at the AGM.

1.      President – Lisa Kennett
2.      Vice President – Simone Szalmuk-Singer
3.      Secretary – Adam Joel
4.      Treasurer – Sharon Gdanski

The Board thanked Susie Ivany for her leadership over the last two years.

During this time, Jewish Care has opened two state of the art Aged Care Homes in Windsor and Carnegie and two best of breed Active Living Centres in Windsor and Caulfield. Concurrently, Jewish Care provided much needed additional support to the most vulnerable in our community during the COVID-19 outbreaks.

With the commencement of our new CEO, Adjunct Professor Alan Lilly in January 2022, it was decided that the change in Presidency would take place one year earlier than originally anticipated, to ensure greater consistency and stability in leadership for the organisation.

Lisa Kennett ssaid: “It is a great honour to be entrusted with the leadership of Jewish Care – an organisation that does so much for so many in our community. Jewish Care has a long and proud history and I look forward to being part of the new chapter in our journey. Together with the support of the dedicated Board of Jewish Care and our new CEO, I look forward to meeting the challenges that our community will face in the future in an innovative, responsible, and caring manner which our community demands.

I am extremely grateful to Susie Ivany that she will remain a member of the Board and a trusted adviser to us all.”
