Lifting for Australia
Former Bialik College student Alex Cochrane-Davis (Class of 2010) has been selected to join the Australian Powerlifting Team at the Commonwealth Championships being held later this year.
Alex, who is currently in his third year of studying medicine, entered his first powerlifting competition in June last year.

Melbourne-based Cochrane-Davis won his place on the team in the 83kg class by lifting a total of 600 kg comprising of a squat of 225kg, a deadlift of 235kg and by bench pressing 140kg.
