L’Chaim to Life: Dr Sheree Trotter
Maurice Klein speaks with Dr Sheree Trotter, Director of the new Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem, and the 100th embassy in Israel, located at the Friends of Zion Museum in Jerusalem.
We hear from Dr Trotter, that the Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem will be a tangible expression of indigenous people’s support for Israel and affirmation of the Jewish people’s indigenous status, providing a platform for expression of solidarity with Israel. Dr Trotter stated in her speech at the opening of the Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem: “The religion, language and national identity of the Jewish people were all formed in the land of Israel, the Jewish patriarchs and prophets buried in Israel and Jerusalem is mentioned 700 times in the bible, all are the defining features of indigeneity.” You can follow and support the Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem, and the Voices of Indigenous solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people; both organisations standing against antisemitism and false narratives, locally and internationally, through education and cultural engagement on the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/indigenouscoalition/.
