Morry Frenkel speaks with Debbie Lee, Festival Director of Melbourne Jewish Book Week, about the exciting program for the upcoming 2024 festival with the theme, Belonging.

Debbie talks about the special events: the Opening Night gala – Of Ghosts and Golems – which includes international and local authors, artwork and live music; a Cocktail Soiree at Raheen, featuring Deborah Conway, and Willy and Alma Zygier; and a closing event to be held in partnership with The Melbourne Holocaust Museum and The Shrine of Remembrance. The international guests, Hila Blum (Israel), Eleanor Reissa (USA), Marina Benjamin (UK) and Lucy Adlington (UK; virtual), together with local veteran and emerging writers, will appear in a diverse program. The festival runs from August 17th – 21st.
