Maurice Klein speaks with Ambassador Paul Griffiths, Australia’s Ambassador to Israel, since September 2020.
Ambassador Griffiths is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DAFT), his most recent overseas posting was Minister – Counsellor in Washington and he has previously served overseas in Jakarta, Manilla and Seoul. We heard how Ambassador Griffiths got on his bike and rode all over Israel to tell the locals that the “Aussies Are Coming (for the 21st Maccabiah Games)”, putting together a stunning five-minute promotional video showcasing our beautiful Israel, the eternal home of the Jewish people. Ambassador Griffiths is keen to further build the Australia-Israel bilateral relationship during his term in Israel.
