He has been teaching at KTC for 4 years, in addition to his teaching duties at BINA. Rabbi Chaiton is a committed and passionate teacher, who  combines his classroom duties with an involvement in numerous extra-curricular and informal learning activities. Rabbi Chaiton is a wonderful role model and inspiring leader. In 2013, Rabbi Chaiton organised a memorable Siyum and  Gemora Baal Peh Evening  in the Boys High School, which was a recognition of the boys who devoted time and effort to Torah study.

KTC is also delighted that the refurbishment of two Science labs will be completed within the first weeks of the school year. These upgraded laboratories, custom-built for KTC, will considerably enhance the learning opportunities for the Boys and Girls High  School students. The completion of this project coincides with the appointment of Head of Science, Mr Gerard Uminski. Mr Uminski brings a wealth of experience to KTC, having taught HSC Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Years 7-10 Science at the prestigious selective North Sydney Boys High School for several years, where his students frequently achieved in the top band for the Sciences. In addition to his

classroom teaching, Mr Uminski was the Science Olympiad Coordinator for the school, where in 2012 three of his students qualified to compete in the International Science Olympiads, and he also assumed the role of Gifted and Talented Coordinator.

At Primary School level, KTC is launching a Music program to be offered to Primary students in Years 3-6 as an extra-curricular before/after school program. The enhanced focus on Music in the school will broaden the educational program, and connect students even more closely with aspects of their culture, music playing an essential role in Yiddishkeit. Students will have the opportunity to learn musical instruments, and will be exposed to different instruments during the course of the program. KTC Music teacher, Mr Jared Mallitt, who has extensive experience in developing music programs for children, is extremely excited to implement this program at KTC.
