Bookings are now able to be made for the  special Shavuot dining event at the famous Kepos & Co on June 6 courtesy of Encounters@Shalom and Network.

Guests will be able to choose from three different “Festival of Weeks” meal sittings all of which feature dairy inspired menus in the spirit of Shavuot.

“The menu is simply mouth-watering and it is a very special experience for kosher consumers to enjoy the One Hat rated culinary delights of head chef Michael Rantissi,” said Shalom Institute director Michael Misrachi.

The dinner will be a shared dining experience with a menu that includes homemade labne cheese and ocean trout moussaka with matbouha, tahini and eggplant, culminating in Rantissi’s signature saffron and pine nut cheesecake with berries and pomegranate.

Kepos & Co will remain kosher with an a la carte menu for lunch and a 2-course set menu for dinner on Tuesday, June 7. For those who want to take a slice of kosher Kepos & Co home with them, a very limited number of saffron and pine nuts cheesecakes will also be available for purchase and take away.

The event is being supervised by the NSW Kashrut Authority and is Chalav Yisrael.

“We are delighted to partner with Shalom and Kepos to bring the community a dairy Chalav Yisrael option in honour of the Festival of Shavuot where we traditionally eat dairy foods,” said The Kashrut Authority’s Rabbi Aaron Groner. “It is truly a rare treat to be able to enjoy a dairy Chalav Yisrael menu of this calibre.”

This is the third time that Encounters@Shalom and Network have teamed up with Kepos & Co to offer the Sydney Jewish community a high quality kosher dining experience after sold out events last November and over Purim.
