The directors of Kehillat Kadimah in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, have come up with a plan to steer the newly created synagogue into the future.

Addressing complex issues associated with the former synagogue, South Head & District Synagogue, (SHDS) the directors have informed the community that 2018 membership of Kehillat Kadimah will open in mid-December.  In late January nominations for the Board will open with an AGM to be held before Pesach 2018.

Committed members of the new entity will be encouraged to apply for the Board.

The aim of the current board is to ensure the financial viability of Kehilat Kadimah.. A 12 month lease on the premises has been secured from the SHDS liquidator while matters pertaining to the liquidation are resolved.

It is intended that Kehillat Kadimah will have an affordable membership plan to allow the formation of a vibrant and strong Orthodox Jewish community with Zionist values.
