As the Eichmann Trial continues, Gideon Hausner persists in his pursuit of the damning Sassen Tapes. However, unbeknownst to Hausner, West Germany has a vested interest to keep the tapes hidden, as Eichmann’s words implicate high ranking West German officials. Above Hausner’s head and behind his back, the young state of Israel begins to deal with West Germany, seeking an arrangement where both sides would benefit from the tapes remaining hidden.
