The Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce will host a unique bi-lateral Webinar with Yigal Unna, Director General – Israel National Cyber Directorate and Dr Tobias Feakin, Australian Ambassador for Cyber Affairs.

The webinar will provide an update through its eminent speakers to understand the evolving cyber threat landscape and gain insights from Australia and Israel in how to build greater cyber resilience for our country and our organisations.

YIGAL UNNA began his career in the field of cyber-technology as a captain in the 8200 Intelligence Unit. In 1995, he was recruited by the Israel Security Agency (“Shin-Bet”), where he held a series of senior management positions in the signals intelligence (SIGINT) and cyber sectors, which combined intelligence and active operations as well as strategic development and the implementation of new technology. After 22 years of service with the Israel Security Agency, Unna joined the National Cyber Directorate, where he was tasked with setting up and leading the National Cyber Bureau’s Cybertechnology  Unit, until his appointment  as DG of INCD. Yigal Unna speaks three languages and holds an MBA (Tel Aviv University) and a BA in History and Management (Tel Aviv University).

DR. TOBIAS FEAKIN the inaugural  Ambassador   for  Cyber  Affairs was a member of the Independent Panel of Experts which supported the Australian Cyber Security Review to produce Australia’s 2016 Cyber Security Strategy. He was the Director of National Security Programs at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute from 2012 to 2016 and established the Institute’s International Cyber Policy Centre.

He has held research and advisory positions, including with the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, the Oxford University Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre, the Global Commission on Internet Governance and the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace. He holds an Honours Degree in Security Studies and a Doctorate of Philosophy in International  Politics and Security Studies, both from the University of Bradford.
