Journalists’ visit to Israel an invaluable experience
Four leading Australian journalists have reported their impressions of a recent visit to Israel under the auspices of The New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies.
Speaking to an audience of over 250 at the Sydney Jewish Museum’s educational centre. each journalist gave a thoughtful and considered presentation on the mission which was led by the NSWJBD CEO Vic Alhadeff.
Speaking of their experiences were Daily Telegraph deputy editor Ben English, Fairfax federal politics editor Bevan Shields, Sky News political reporter David Lipson and Channel 7 reporter Alex Hart.
They all acknowledged the complexity of the situation and agreed that the mission had been invaluable as by being on the ground and seeing the situation for themselves had given them a first-hand appreciation of the current situation.
The mission was generously supported by the JCA Haberman Kulawicz Wolanski Fund.
