Josh Burns and Anthony Albanese visit Balaclava
Labor federal MP Josh Burns has accompanied Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on a visit to an early childcare centre in Burns’ electorate.
The kids at the centre in Balaclava had dressed up for Halloween.
Josh Burns said: “The kids were delighted not only to dress up in their Halloween costumes but to have the PM visit too. The PM spoke about how our cheaper child care plan will make a real difference to Australian families.”
Following their visit to the centre, Albanese and Burns took in the sounds and sights of Carlisle St.
Josh Burns added: “Carlisle Street was bustling, and I thank all the locals who came up and said hello and wanted a photo.
I also thank the staff at the iconic Wall Two 80 for serving first-class Carlisle Street coffee.”
Greg Bremner from the Wall showed them the old kosher butcher sign at the back, which Josh Burns described as being – “a real local treasure”.
