More than 2,500 Israeli schoolchildren whose homes are close to the Gaza border have received a welcome break from the tension generated by a daily dose of rockets…they were bussed to safer pastures for respite courtesy of the Jewish National Fund’s Australian arm.Today, the walls of the JNF national office in Sydney are covered by cards expressing gratitude for the welcome break….JNF Australia provided most of the funds spent on taking the students to Kibbutz Lavi in the north and providing accommodation and entertainment for them.
