During the Sukkot holiday “Feast of Tabernacles 2022”, over 2,000 Christians Friends of Israel arrived in Israel, and for the first time in many years, KKL – JNF and the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem are once again marking their partnership in a Tree Planting Ceremony in Kissufim around the Gaza strip.

KKL – JNF has been planting protective tree paths for the past decade, enabling mobility and strengthening the security of communities along the Gaza border. The International Christian Embassy’s Jerusalem visit to the Gaza strip will conclude with some 1,000 Christian Friends of Israel visiting the western Negev for a special solidarity rally with the Israeli communities along the Gaza border and tree-planting inauguration ceremony in Kissufim, remarking the significant project and advancing Security Afforestation in Kissufim and Nirim.

The inauguration ceremony will include senior KKL – JNF representatives and leaders of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem from around the world.

Ronnie Vinnikov, Head of KKL-JNF’s Resource Development and External Affairs Division, said: “We are grateful for the special connection we have with the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem and Friends of Israel around the world.

A seedling planting, like hope, is an act of today, rooting and seeding the future for generations to come.  KKL-JNF works tirelessly to build and develop the land of Israel from North to South. We acknowledge the joint activity in the spirit of practical Zionism and with deep gratitude to ICEJ and the Friends of Israel worldwide, our partners in the process who greatly contribute to the success of many projects for the benefit of all.”
