The Sydney-based Chai Foundation and JewishCare have announced an agreement whereby JewishCare will administer funds on behalf of Chai.  This arrangement will streamline the process by which those members in the Jewish community in need of emergency financial relief will receive support.

Shirley Lowy and Alan Vidor

The arrangement is the culmination of a longstanding relationship between Chai and JewishCare.  Shirley Lowy OAM, Founder of the Chai Foundation, said “Chai was originally created to fulfill a gap in the community and we believe the collaboration with JewishCare will ensure the continuity of Chai’s aim to provide direct and immediate relief to people in times of personal and financial crisis.”  Allan Vidor, President of JewishCare, said, “Chai and JewishCare have a successful and established history of working together, and this alliance will maximise the benefits of their resources to the community.”

Those seeking emergency relief should contact JewishCare directly at 1300 133 660 or [email protected]”.
