Jewish Comedian in Theatresports final
Jewish comedy writer, comedian and impro comedy champion Dave Bloustien is to feature in the Cranston Cup Grand Final this Saturday night 3 December at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.
A sell-out crowd of around 1200 is expected to cheer on the teams of improvising comedians and actors as they compete for the biggest, ugliest trophy in the known world: the Cranston Cup.
Bloustien’s team – which battled through heats, a semifinal and a repechage to win through to the four-team final – is called “Bigger on the Inside” a reference to the cult TV hit Dr Who and his famous ‘Tardis’ time and space travelling Police Box.
He is a former “Kosher Theatresports” champion as well as a regular star of the mainstream Theatresports show – at 30 years now, the longest running stage show in Sydney. He is also a writer for some of the highest-profile TV comedy shows as well as a successful solo stage performer in his own right.
The season is directed by Cale Bain.
The Theatresports Cranston Cup Final plays at Enmore Theatre Sat 3 Sept 8pm.
