Melbourne’s Jewish Care has launched a new social media and poster campaign in support of International Women’s Day on Monday 8 March.

International Women’s Day is a global day of action to celebrate the achievements of women and girls and promote gender equality.

The new campaign, titled Her Words. Our Future, shares the inspiring words of eight Jewish women throughout history. The striking images will be launched on social media in the lead-up to International Women’s Day, with printed posters available for order.

“From Gloria Steinem to Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Bella Abzug to Golda Meir – our Jewish history is filled with women leaders and feminists who have fought tirelessly for equality,” said Cassandra Barrett, Program Manager of Healthy Communities at Jewish Care. “We hope that sharing their powerful words will inspire a new generation of young people. By celebrating the achievements of women and girls, we can support a more equal and just world for us all.”

To order copies of the posters, contact Health Promotion Officer Naomi Sherborne at [email protected] or 03 8517 5919.
