Jewish Care Victoria, as part of the Jewish Disability Network has co-hosted the Jewish Disability Services Expo at Melbourne’s Beth Weizmann Community Centre.

Almost 100 attendees of the free event in Caulfield were informed of the disability services available to the Victorian Jewish community by representatives from each organisation within the Jewish Disability Network, including Jewish Care, Access Inc, Maccabi All Abilities, Friendship Circle, Camp Sababa and Jewish Spectrum Support. Information was provided about each individual organisation’s programs, as well as how they collaborate and work together.

David Southwick MP, Chair of the Social Inclusion Leadership Group was MC at the Expo, and Dr. Jackie King from Jewish Care discussed the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), the latest updates and the necessary requirements for transitioning to the new system.

Attendees browsed the exhibition of Jewish disability services available to the community, and children and young adults enjoyed the Rosh Hashana-themed activities.
