The app allows users to access practical tools such as weekly Shabbat times, Jewish calendar, important contact information and direct links to available volunteering and job positions. It also offers the functionality to view Jewish Care’s latest videos and some fun stuff too, including Jewish jokes.

Most importantly, for Jewish Care, the apps value lies in its ability to provide it supporter’s fingertip access to donate at the touch of a button. The app’s secure donation module gives repeat users a simple one-click process to donate. Tax receipts are instantly emailed to the donor and a full record of all transactions are stored in the user’s account.

“We realise that there is rapid growth in people donating to their favourite charities via online and mobile platforms,” said Jewish Care CEO, Bill Appleby. “This app allows our supporters to engage, connect and donate wherever they are at any time”, Appleby adds.

Jewish Care’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Ayal Tusia said, “Our mobile app is just another exciting addition to our expanding online and mobile presence. Combined with our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and recently launched Blog, we are truly connected to our community allowing us to better inform and communicate at all levels.”

The app is a free to download from the Apple App Store or Google Play by searching for Jewish Care Victoria.
