A Sydney casting company is throwing its net across the country to find a young boy to star in a new Steven Spielberg movie.

McGregor  Castings says: “We are doing an Australia wide search for a 6-9 year-old boy to play a lead role in a film that will be directed by Steven Spielberg!  The boy must be able to pass as a 6 year old and appear to be Jewish Italian.”

This is a unique and very challenging part for a truly special boy.  The story deals with the complexity of an extremely intelligent and gifted child’s desire to return to his family and his faith against his ability to learn the catechism and engage with the Pope on a level far beyond his years.

This film will shoot in Italy from April 2017.
