A portrait of The Queen by a Jewish artist was unveiled yesterday at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra by  Governor-General Quentin Bryce.
The portrait of Her Majesty is by Ralph Heimans, a Sydney born artist who is a former student of Masada College.
He was given one hour with Elizabeth II in March and painted the only official portrait of her in her Diamond Jubilee year.
“I can’t remember what I said,” he was quoted as saying in The Australian.
