Jessica to visit Israeli family
The elated mother of Australian Olympic silver medalist Jessica Fox said she planned to take her family to Israel to meet their cousins.
Myriam Jerusalmi-Fox won bronze at the Atalanta Games in 1996 and her father Richard was fourth at the 1992 Games in Barcelona.
Both were beaten by their daughter, Jessica Fox, 18, who won silver in the slalom (K1) on Thursday.
“I’m still on the cloud; we all are,” Myriam Fox said from London.
Although Jess lives in Sydney’s west and has little contact with the Jewish community, her mother said: “I would like to take them [my family] to Israel to meet all the family and visit the country.
“She won’t go for sport. When we go to Israel we will go for a visit.”
