Israelis news presenter to speak at UIA functions
Lucy Aharish is a power house and an inspiration – she is an Israeli news presenter, reporter, and television host.
She became the first Arab to present the news on mainstream Israeli television, currently hosting a morning news show on Israel’s Channel 2 and presenting the evening edition of i24news. She was born in the Southern Israeli town of Dimona. Growing up, she was the only Muslim Arab student at her school. When she was 5, she and her family were hurt in a terror attack in the Gaza Strip, when two Molotov cocktail bombs were thrown at their car. She has always been a fighter for what she believes in and is not afraid to voice her opinion in the mainstream media.
