Year 10 and 11 students from four Australian Jewish schools have combined at Melbourne’s Bialik College to welcome Shittim School students, visiting Australia from the Central Arava region in Israel.

Students get together

Since 1994, Australia has forged relations with the Central Arava region. The centrepiece of this relationship has been an annual visit of Year 10 students from the Shittim School in the Arava. The Shittim delegation was welcomed by local students from Bialik College, Mount Scopus, King David and Yavneh at Bialik College where they engaged in an inter-active discussion on “Being a Jew in the Diaspora”.
