Israel donates to Victorian flood victims

The Deputy Chief of Mission at Israel’s embassy in Canberra Ron Gerstenfeld presented a donation of $16,300 on behalf of the Government of Israel to GIVIT to support their clean-up efforts in flood affected communities in Victoria, hosted by the Parliament of Victoria Friends of Israel.

Ron Gerstenfeld said: “We’re sad to say it was only last year we worked with Give It during the 2021 QLD/NSW floods, but we’ve seen the incredible hands-on hand help they provide, making sure people get the aid they actually need.

Thank you to founder and director of Givit Juliet Wright, David Southwick MP, Brad Battin MP, James Newbury MP, Brad Rowswell MP & all the friends of Israel who attended.”

GIVIT manages offers of donated goods, services, volunteering and funds, including corporate offers, in response to the widespread flooding across Queensland and New South Wales.
