An ABC sports radio commentator has angered listeners with an on-air wisecrack invoking the Holocaust.
Calling Saturday night’s AFL match between West Coast Eagles and Collingwood, Ken Judge took time out to focus on the size of his and fellow commentator John Dorotich’s waistlines.
Judge, a former West Eagles and Hawthorn coach told Dorotich live, on-air, “you are bigger than Hitler’s last gas bill.”
Robert Goot, President of the the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, told J-Wire: “This is an extremely tasteless, unthinking and insensitive remark. But it warrants no action from us. Rather, we will leave it to the ABC to deal with it internally as they see fit.”
