Members of the Sydney’s orthodox Jewish community completed studying the entire Mishna in just over three hours.

Over 250 people joined together to learn 4192 Mishnayos  as one community.

Event organiser Rabbi Reuven Klein said: ”Although many doubted that we could pull off such an event, we did it”.

Over the past month participants registered the Mishnayos of their choosing.

Representatives from every shule across  Sydney attended the event at Central Synagogue in Bondi.

Rabbi Pinchus Feldman had the honour of completing the 4192  Mishnayos.

CEO of The Jewish House Rabbi Mendel Kastel told J-Wire: “I can’t speak for the rest of the world but this is certainly the first time this has been done in Sydney. We traditionally study Torah immediately before Shavuot.”

The Central Synagogue’s Rabbi Levi Wolff hails from New York and participated with members of his family. He told J-Wire: “I have never heard of an event like taking place anywhere in the world.”
