Henry Greener talks with Prof Sharon Lewin about the late Dr Mark Baker
Sharon Lewin and Henry Greener’s dedication to Dr. Mark Baker z’l, whose recent passing has left so many in our community with a heavy heart and profound sadness.
“The light of goodness and justice now shines less brightly in the world’s dark places.”
Prof. Sharon Lewin also discusses medical issues surrounding her work as Director of the Doherty Institute
So sorry to hear of Mark Baker’s death. An extraordinary man, profound thinker, fine writer, and so humane. We have lost a man who brought love and depth to Judaism in such a way as to strengthen it and extend it in all its beauty.
During his time as Editor of ‘Generation Journal’, the Jewish literary magazine, some 22 years ago now, Mark published me as a burgeoning writer, both poetry and a special piece written for the Israel Jubilee edition; I have always been both proud to be associated with the magazine and thankful. We shall all miss you, Mark, miss the presence of you that pervades your writing. I wish long life to the Baker family.
