Henry Greener discovers the many roles DebFiller has filled in her Brilliant Career as a writer, performer, actor, comedian and musician.

Deb’s recent Show at the Classic Southside incorporated personal stories, nostalgic singalong music, and video of the short film “Mr Bernstein” made by her wife Francine Zuckerman, showing the story of her father’s experience in seeing Leonard Bernstein conducting a Survivors Orchestra perform “Rhapsody in Blue” at a DP Camp, confirming that Music is the Key to Survival and Hope.

Her stories also incorporate her chance meetings with Leonard Cohen and Lenny Kravitz.

 

Deb Filler’s fascinating career history and personal life continue to expand in every way, all over the world. Deb discusses her relationship with her partner/wife Francine Zuckerman who now live together in Toronto, where they are based. Deb has been in a Play “Birds of a Feather” in Stratford, Ontario and continues to perform and create in her very unique style.
