Please help the NSW Friendship Circle win a grant of 2,500 to train our volunteers in first by visiting projectlocal.com.au and registering to vote for Keeping Special People Safe!

Friendship Circle is a community-based organisation engaging young people with special needs, linking them with our 70 enthusiastic teen volunteers for recreational, social and educational activities. Through spending meaningful time together and getting to know the individual with special needs, barriers fall and all are enriched. We wish to empower our teen volunteers, enabling them to further care for their buddies and other community members

Together with St John we have tailored a 1st aid course designed to provide personal values & attitudes, knowledge & skills essential to respond effectively in emergency situations involving people with special needs Cost: $2850 for 24 teen volunteers wanting to do this training. Funds: $2500- Project Local + $350- donation Our volunteers will be equipped to respond to needs of their special buddies and we are investing in these young people to keep people with disability safe in our community
