Harold Finger joins world executive of Keren Hayesod-UIA
UIA Australia is proud to announce that Federal President Harold Finger has been invited to join the World Executive of Keren Hayesod-UIA.
The KH-UIA World Executive is an advisory forum comprised of campaign leaders – past and present, from KH-UIA’s top campaigns around the world, representing the various regions where the organisation operates. Chaired jointly by the World Chairman and the Chairman of the World Board of Trustees, the World Executive meets regularly to discuss strategy and operations.
As the leadership link between the global campaigns, World Chairs and the KH-UIA headquarters, the Executive also provides guidance, oversight and affirmation on matters related to strategy, policies, ongoing operations and campaign income.
“I take this opportunity to congratulate Harold and thank him for his dedicated years serving as Federal President of UIA Australia. I have no doubt that his creativity and vast experience with UIA and Keren Hayesod will be a great asset to our Executive,” World Board of Trustees Chairman, David Koschitzky said.
Harold Finger has been an active and pivotal member of UIA NSW and UIA Australia for almost 3 decades, with his positions including UIA NSW President, UIA NSW Life President and UIA Australia Federal President, as well as Chair of various divisions.
“Along with all the volunteers that work for KH-UIA around the globe, it has been my honour to be involved in something ‘bigger’ for so many years. In some way, our efforts through KH-UIA have provided hope and opportunity for millions of Our People in Israel over the decades. What we have achieved through Keren Hayesod and UIA Australia is something unique, which will hopefully continue into the future”, Harold Finger said.
UIA CEO Yair Miller said: “We are extremely proud of Harold being given this honour. He continues a tradition of senior UIA Australia leaders being invited to the most senior lay positions in Keren Hayesod. KH-UIA continues to play a vital and unique role in the connection of diaspora Jews to Israel, and the role of UIA Australia has always ‘punched above our weight’. Harold has been one of the most passionate and dedicated lay leaders in UIA’s recent history and it is very gratifying to see him moving into this new role.”
Harold Finger is an outstanding choice. He works tirelessly for Keren Hayesod UIA, Israel and his beloved Australia
