Sydney’s North Shore Synagogue has celebrated its 70th anniversary…and New South Wales Governor Marie Bashir was guest of honour.

Pictured above L-r: President Sarah Zuckerman, Governor Marie Bashir, Rabbi Paul Lewin, Rebbetzin Talya Lewin, Chazan Zvi Teichtal, Mira Teichtal, Sir Nicholas Shehadie and Vice-Presicent John Lowbeer.

More than 350 people joined the Govenor and her husband Sir Nicholas Shehadie who, together with many other dignitaries, were thoroughly entertained by the wonderful singing of Rabbi Philip Heilbrunn, Rabbi Yehuda Niasoff and Rabbi Zvi Teichtahl, the Synagogue’s resident chazzan.

The beautiful sounds of violin, cello and piano played by the acclaimed Freshwater Trio provided additional entertainment.
