Peres went on to say that, while birthdays are a time to reflect upon the past year, they are also a time to look to the future.  Peres spoke to the values that the Queen inspires, and to his hope that her reign will continue moving the United Kingdom forward into the future: “You are a beacon of light to your nation and serve as a source of inspiration for individuals across the world”.

“Great Britain and the Commonwealth symbolize democracy, faith and harmony and it is your reign that has instilled and insured these values are preserved. Therefore, Your Majesty, I wish for you to continue dreaming, building your magnificent nation and carrying the British spirit.”

The Queen has never visited Israel.
