Last minute commitments have caused  actress Cate Blanchett  to cancel her plans to attend Friday night’s Shabbat service at Sydney’s Central Synagogue. Rabbi Levi Wolff told J-Wire that he hoped she would reschedule in the near future but no other date is yet in place.

Blanchett is considering being guest speaker at the Central’s monthly Young Adults’ Shabbat sevrice and dinner.
