The leader of Victoria’s Jewish community has condemned the antisemitic vandalism perpetrated in Melbourne’s CBD.

Taking the BDS line, the pro-Palestinian protestors have targeted multi-national companies showing support for Israel.

Making headlines over the weekend were McDonalds and Starbucks.

JCCV President Philip Zajac told J-Wire: “This is not a legitimate political protest. This is grotesque and violent vandalism.”

He added: “Each Sunday, during the weekly pro-Palestine demonstrations, the graffiti and vandalism appear to be getting worse.

These acts not only invoke fear in Jewish passersby but also intimidate employees and customers of those outlets.

The JCCV condemns the antisemitic nature of not only the vandalism but of the hate speech hurled by protesters at Jewish witnesses.

It is incumbent on Victoria Police to ensure the safety of all people in the CBD, including business owners and their customers.”

What are the Victoria Police doing? What is the Victorian Government doing?
Nothing seems to be the answer. Talk is proving to be cheap.
