Over 300 young volunteers so generously gave up their time to man the phones at JNF’s Green Sunday Telethon.
This year’s appeal raised funds in support of the thousands of Israeli wounded soldiers and victims of terror who require vital therapies and rehabilitation.
JNF is building a green oasis at the newest Beit Halochem facility being built in Ashdod. The planned gardens will provide a wonderful place of healing and recuperation for those that have sacrificed at the highest level for Israel’s security.

Call centre volunteers included students from Kesser Torah, Moriah College, Masada College, Emanuel School and BJE as well as youth movement members from Hineni, Bnei Akiva, Habo, Betar, Netzer and Tzofim.

We were so honoured to be joined by KKL-JNF World Chairperson, Danny Atar, who joined the youth volunteers on the phones.

JNF CEO Dan Springer said “It is always inspiring to see our community mobilise for Israel. What makes Green Sunday so special is the way our youth got involved and volunteered for our telethon, rallied by our wonderful Education Shaliach Yigal Nisell. Beyond the funds raised, we can all derive nachas in the knowledge that our children are carrying forward the torch, by expressing their love for Israel in such a tangible way and staking their claim to our shared heritage.”
