Sydney’s Great Synagogue Purim party was treated to the reading of the Megillah by Chazan David Hilton touting a very bad Ken wig.

For the uninformed, Ken is the partner of the famed Barbie doll who turned 50 this week.

Susan Bures reports:

Some bemused but fortunately docile lizards made friends with a whole complement of fairies, a Spiderman or two, a red apple complete with worm and some very tall lions at The Great Synagogue’s Purim party on Monday night.

Steve the Lizard Hunter was only one of the attractions at the Purim festival titled Mordechai in Madagascar.

In honour of the 50th birthday of Barbie, Chazan David Hilton read the Megillah in a very bad “Ken” wig, while Rabbi Jeremy Lawrence and his children provided the animal component.
