Government grant for NSW Jewish military history
The ANZAC Day service was held on Sunday at the War Memorial in Sydney ahead of the main commemoration to be held on Friday to allow jewish participants to march.
State Shadow Minister for Roads Walt Secord told J-Wire: “I represented NSW Labor at the annual Jewish Anzac Day service. NAJEX president Charles Aronson announced that the National Association of Jewish Ex-servicemen and women had received a major grant from the Federal Government to commission a history of Jewish servicemen and women in Australia – to coincide with Gallipoli centenary. Chaplains Rabbi Jeffrey Kamins and Rabbi Yossi Friedman officiated at a beautiful and moving service.”
